Come and paint with me!

I’ve been at home, like many Americans, since March, only really leaving for essential appointments and my daughter’s tennis (thankful for a socially distanced sport!). Since the beginning of quarantine, I have been focused on going above and beyond my normal level of teaching not only to keep busy while at home, but to make sure that anyone in my online art workshops also has an outlet during these crazy times. I’m seeing a lot of new faces and am really happy spending my days this way.

Thank you so much Julie! I certainly didn’t expect such a quick response!

Some time ago, I closed all of the private facebook groups that I had for every class, and then opened one large group. Every time we move locations, some people don’t follow, but there are also a lot of new friends that I love to see online every day! We are learning together.. yes..I get as much out of teaching these workshops than people get taking them..and I love that.

oh oh oh! 💕just signed up this morning & watched first video which is jam packed full of technique skills & so much more!!! I am so excited!!! Can’t thank you enough Julie...especially for the parts where you work your way from being stumped & maybe not pleased...but then working your way to the ‘Ahhh’ finish & thinking out loud to share with us your process!!🤗🌻🌻🌻

When I started to teach online in 2009, I did a lot of research for how I wanted to host my workshops. The retail career experience in me guided me to study benefits of various teaching methods. Many workshops allow limited access, mine are open with no time limits. Once you’re in, you’re IN. I also wanted to make sure that my workshops had the amazing extra benefit of my experience and teaching in a live “chat” so to speak.. which is what I love to do every day in the Facebook Group. If you have any of the online workshops that I have ever hosted, you get access to that workshop.

What’s great about the combined art Facebook Group is that you can ask a question, post an image and get feedback (often times, even a mark-up) for something specific to you in your practice AND you can read and see the images of people throughout the other workshops and hopefully learn from those posts as well. I am thrilled with how things are going online.

So, if you’re home like me, and looking to expand your painting skills, check out the online workshops that I host. There are two new workshops currently, and I recently wrote a blog post comparing the two that you can read here.

Hi Julie! Just want to tell you how much I’m loving the new book. So fun and inspiring to read and so many great ideas.

The companion workshop to my new, self-published book is also open now! They go great together 😉

I hope to see you soon…happiest Thanksgiving to you!
