The Stories I Can Tell..

Ever since my daughter was born, I have been telling her stories about things that have happened in my life. I’ve been writing stories down in case I ever forgot to tell her, and I frequently get the, “Moooooooomm” eye roll to shut up. (I can take it lol) But I have always felt that the need for me to share information was much more than just telling stories.. I feel like I NEED to talk.

I realized early in my life that I felt great and needed when I was able to help someone with information they needed to know. Back in the early days of my retail career, I went to gemology school so that I could answer any question that came my way when I was standing at the fine jewelry counter. Soon, I began producing and sharing the knowledge that I knew so that other employees could also feel confident in speaking with customers. That expanded to programs written for retailers at the national level and many, many, many in person training sessions. I loved every minute of it.

I left my retail career when my daughter was born. That was a huge change. I had been speaking to people daily for 20 years, and all of a sudden, I had a little human to talk to that couldn’t even speak English. To say there was an adjustment is an understatement.

At that time, I started painting because I could not afford the art to decorate our home. I decided to teach myself how to paint abstracts. Not long after came the requests to teach others what I was doing with acrylic paint. Setting up the training sessions was easy for me and I was off and running- I’ve never looked back. Since 2009, I have been teaching painting online. Thousands of workshops, thousands of students across the globe. I love every minute of it.

Currently, I am slowing down on producing online workshops. I feel that over the many years that I have been teaching, I have developed an amazing course catalogue, filled with every tangible aspect of painting that I know, and I am really proud of the content. I feel that there is so much more to know than pushing paint on canvas and hoping for the best, so I don’t want to saturate the marketplace with workshops that have little benefit…quick little “one and done” classes so to speak. The workshops I produce are meant to be enjoyed over and over with relevant content… like an encyclopedia. Why?

Because I personally am in all of the workshops! Every question you email or post, every painting you send me, I provide my feedback and experience to you. That’s what I do 😊

After receiving several requests, I am now offering private, video consultations! The consultations are being offered at an introductory price right now- $110 for 55 minutes and if you need a small convo, $65 for 30 minutes. In those calls, you can ask me about your art, social media, publishing, teaching online, setting up online workshops, squarespace websites, acrylic painting- basically anything that you see me doing here, I am happy to share with you. Also- you won’t find me receiving any sponsorships or compensation from any of the vendors I use in my business, so the feedback I provide is totally unbiased. It’s true.

SO: It’s time to stop browsing and start doing. Let’s do this!
