Which is best? Fixative or Varnish?
This is probably the most frequently asked question I receive across all of my social media channels. 📝 Since the filming of this tutorial, the fixative I have been using has been very hard to locate. I emailed the company a few times and they were not able to provide me with a status update on their product. So- what is the substitute? I am experimenting with pourable acrylic mediums (such as Airbrush medium) to fix NON HIGH-DETAIL APPLICATIONS of unstable product. For example, if you have a wash of color or a distressed layer, the airbrush medium lightly painted on top of it will stabilize the product for varnish. Please TEST your application off your masterpiece first.
