"Trick Question" Original small painting, 4x4 inches.

$140.00

Flashback to the 90’s, inside a Southern California sports bar on NTN Trivia night. At the end of a very close, heated competition, the multiple choice question read: What is the largest diamond in the world? I immediately knew the answer. Our opponent picked, “The Hope Diamond” and as my friend said aloud softly, “The Hope Diamond” and she reached for the console, I grabbed her hand mid reach and whispered, “Cullinan”. She looked at me as the timer clicked..so much was at stake in the bar that night… I nodded. We won.

The Hope diamond is probably the most famous diamond, but it isn’t the largest. This piece is inspired by the blue of the Hope, the colors of the period in France and the fictitious diamond of similar look in the movie “Titanic”.

Textured and layered to tell a story. Inspired by the artists time working with the finest gemstones and diamonds in the world.

Acrylic mixed media. Sealed with cold wax medium which has been hand buffed to a beautiful satin finish. This painting is not flat. Texture created by paint and mediums are visible in some areas, so you can see it is not a print! This painting measures 4×4 inches with a 1.5 inch natural wood profile.

Your painting will arrive professionally packed. We take pride in not only the professional supplies and varnish in our paintings, but how they are transported across the country as well. Only actual shipping cost will be charged.
