These sketches are original abstract expressionist mixed media pieces created as part of a focused studio color study series. Each sketch is a unique, one-of-a-kind artwork, produced without replication or editioning. The subject of the cat is approached through gesture, chromatic tension, and intuitive mark-making, favoring emotional resonance over representation.
Paper. The materials vary per work and may include soft pastel, artist crayon, colored pencil, charcoal, and/or oil pastel. All media are professional grade and lightfast. A light fixative has been applied; however, as is standard for works on paper, the artwork should be framed under glass for proper conservation.
Each piece is archivally mounted to its backing board and presented with a substantial, museum-quality mat, attached using archival linen tape. The work is sized to fit a standard 11 × 14 inch frame, allowing collectors to complete the framing to their individual aesthetic while maintaining archival integrity.
These works originate from the artist’s private studio practice and are released in strictly limited quantity. Once acquired, each piece is permanently removed from circulation. This is an original work, not a reproduction.
