In 1986, it took me an entire semester of Home Economics class to sew Bermuda shorts from pattern, using plaid fabric strikingly similar to the colors used in this painting. I remember how difficult it was to sew a garment from scratch and I remember how comfortable and amazing those shorts fit when I was finished. I loved them so much. This painting brings back all the memories of that time as well as an "arts and craft" like feel with its worn paint colors and texture. It's a total vibe.
Acrylic . Sealed with protective varnish. This painting is not flat. Texture created by paint and mediums are visible in some areas, so you can see it is not a print! The perfect size for many areas in your space, this 24x24” original artwork has been painted on a cradled wood panel, the sides are 1.5” deep and they have been left unpainted (natural wood).
