Pink is only part of the story. While reading one of my favorite gemology books, I am reminded of George Kunz,who discovered a stone called Kunzite in California. Kunz is accredited with creating the colored stone market at Tiffany in 1875. In this heavily layered painting, I acknowledge only a few of the beautiful colored stones Kunz discovered and brought to market.

Acrylic mixed media. Sealed with cold wax medium which has been hand buffed to a beautiful satin finish. This painting is not flat. Texture created by paint and mediums are visible in some areas, so you can see it is not a print! This painting measures 5×5 inches with a 1.5 inch natural wood profile.
