I like to keep things fresh.. in my old job as a merchandise manager, I used to tell everyone, "If the line is down, move it around." It's a subtle change that regenerates interest and helps me remain creative.. do you get that way too? I needed a freshen-up session and I achieved that with a little spray paint.
My husband and father-in-law built my work tables into the room for me when we moved in about 5 years ago.. they have been painted now three times, and it's a nightmare.. so this may be the last table color change...I'll paint walls next time. (Don't tell anyone.) I dig the contrast between our 1962 floor and the table now..and it just feels fresh. I also like my new no-measure wall collage.. I am going to fill up the wall with paintings, so that is why it looks a little unbalanced at the moment.
I was able to wiggle all of my mediums under the table to the right in an Ikea "ras kog" cart. Genius and affordable..it's heavy metal, so it won't buckle under the weight of all of that product.
I've just finished a monster of an IT project..moving all of the network members (1500+) from the NING network to new private blogs and I am ready for some fun time.. Back to actually helping students paint and even painting for myself!
Stay tuned...next post I'll tell you why I went Mirror-less. See you then!
