Rolling paper up in here...

My dad drove up the other day and I quickly put him to work. We rolled this vintage sheet music...a lot of it...and made wreaths!

I've always wanted holiday wreaths, but I didn't want them to scream CHRISTMAS! nor did I want over priced wreaths that were not made in the USA....$70 for that? I don't think so. So I made my own... Wire blanks cost about $3.49.. paper was on hand and a little glitter..some glue. Boom.

I looked on Google for wreath ideas and came across one for paper... there's was flatter...kind of domed...and only paper. I changed it up by making tight paper rolls, adding glitter and pinecones. Of course, my dad looked at me like I was crazy and my mom doesn't like these at all... and try explaining to a 6 year old that these are great.. but no flashing lights? No holiday music? Where's the neon?

A few pieces of colored paper in there...and clear glitter on the tips..hand placed...imperfect. Perfect. Just so there is a little something there to glisten when the sun hits..

I love them.

Reminder: I'm throwing in TWO online workshops into the Hurricane Relief pool over at The Altered Page. Last time I checked, it looks like you can pick up the classes and some art and a book or two for a SONG..while all proceeds go to charity.

Don't forget to stop in tomorrow for the second installation of my Art Gallery Tour here! You get to see art submitted by real live people who are taking the online workshops. Hope to see you then!
