One year and one week ago I finished this painting. It was the second piece of my original art that I hung in my house, and I am happy to report it is still hanging up in the house today. Sometimes I make a painting and fall out of love with it over time, it's the pieces that stand the test of "my time" that I am most proud of. Do you hang your art in your house? Why not? You are an artist.

The walls in my house are almost filled. My latest project is a large frame, with a matte placed inside..I am using this new frame to add my digital art to the walls. What type of digital art? Art like this or this.. I enlarge it to fit the frame and I can switch it out as my mood changes. All it takes is a little time on the computer and a quick trip to the photo store and viola! New art. Since my art mood is fickle, I don't like to spend a lot of money on framing and matting, this new in-and-out project for the digital pieces is perfect.

I'm looking for a new way to get my journal pages up onto the walls that they are not buried in books on a shelf. Since I have them all scanned into my computer, it won't be difficult to put together some sort of collage..stay tuned for that experiment.

So one year ago I painted this painting. One year ago I would have never thought that I would have so much of my own art on the walls of my house. What were you doing one year ago?
